Douglas Lin, D.D.S.
Dr. Lin has been part of a new Hercules tradition of dental comfort and care. He received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from UC Berkeley, and is a 1996 graduate of Northwestern University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at UCLA/West LA VA hospital. Dr. Lin has completed courses in orthodontics, oral conscious sedation, Invisalign and implant dentistry. He is a fellow of the American Implant Dentistry Association.

Dr. Lin is continually educating himself and his staff on the newest and latest techniques and approaches to offer you and your family with state-of-the-art, antiseptic, comfortable and personalized dental care.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is married to Dr. Sophie Chen, and they will be celebrating their ten year anniversary. The family's favorite past time: traveling, skiing, violin, and golf (and occasionally Xbox 360).

Sophie Chen, DDS
Dr. Chen graduated from University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2000. She attended University of California, San Diego where she double majored in biochemistry and psychology with a minor in music. Dr. Chen completed postgraduate courses in implantology, oral conscious sedation, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, Invisalign, and management. Dr. Chen is committed to deliver the newest and the best treatments for her patients. She enjoys working with patients and her caring dental team.

Dr. Chen and Dr. Lin have a family with two children. When not working, Dr. Chen likes to spend time with her family, travel, play music, read, and discuss future plans with Dr. Lin.

Allan Capinpin, DDS
Dr. Capinpin grew up in the East Bay. He attended the University of California, Davis earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 1990. He went on to attend the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1994. Dr. Capinpin is an active member of the Diablo Study Club which is comprised of a group of peers who meet monthly to review, discuss, and learn about the newest technologies and advancements in dentistry. Dr. Capinpin is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and served as a board member for the Contra Costa Dental Society.

He met his wife while attending UC Davis and together have three children; Jaylene, Carissa, and Nathan. Dr. Capinpin enjoys coaching his kids sports programs, family days at the Oakland Zoo, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the park. Hobbies include golf, biking, bowling, scuba diving, cooking, walking, and watching his kids grow.

Rupert Cervantes, DDS
Dr. Cervantes is a 2003 graduate of the University of California San Francisco- School of Dentistry. He has completed post – graduate course work in cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, and oral conscious sedation. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California San Diego with degrees in history and political science, and also earned a master's degree in public health from UC Berkeley. Dr. Cervantes is dedicated to providing comprehensive dental treatment for his patients in a atmosphere that provides comfort, promotes health and that utilizes the latest and most efficient technologies available. His goal is to be the long term provider of dental services to his patients and their families.

When not practicing or learning the the latest techniques in dentistry, Dr. Cervantes enjoys spending time outdoor with his family and take family road trips.

Francis Cruz, DDS
Dr. Cruz attended University of San Francisco where he completed his BS degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of CaliforniaSchool of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated in 1985. He has served as a board member of the Napa Solano Dental Society and participated in a Solano Study group. Dr. Cruz joined Hercules Dental Care found the staff and the doctors enjoyable to work with and knowledgeable in dentistry.

Dr. Cruz enjoys the art and the practice of dentistry. He thinks dentistry is a profession where one can immediately help relieve discomfort using knowledge and skill. Dr. Cruz attends continuing education courses in all the disciplines of dentistry, including restoring implants. Dr. Cruz has three sons raised in Vallejo and Benicia and all three are performing Acrobats and travelers. The oldest son and his wife live in Rotterdam, the Netherlands where they teach Acrobatics and Dance; his second son is in Los Angeles where he will perform with Cirque Du Soleil in "Iris", a new show; his youngest son has been accepted in the International School of Circus Arts in Montreal Canada. He also has his second family in Benicia with two step-daughters and a step-son and now a very special grand son, yes families can grow! Dr. Cruz enjoys performing arts, basketball, and volleyball. He especially enjoys watching theatrical circus, like Cirque.

John Wayland, DDS, FAGD, Diplomate, American Dental Implant Association
Dr. Wayland is a 1981 graduate of UCSF School of Dentistry and is a former faculty member and instructor at UCSF and UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Wayland is a California Dental Board On Site Sedation Evaluator, California Sedation Permit #163, ACLS Certified, former Doctors Hospital Staff, Alumnus of LD Pankey Institute, Las Vegas Institute. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and Diplomate in the American Dental Implant Association. The Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship is a distinction held by less than 1% of all dentists in the United States. The award requires 500 hours of course study, a comprehensive written exam, and a minimum of five years to complete.American Dental Implant Association Diplomate Certification requires 350 hours of course study, written examination, and oral examination. Dr. Wayland’s first implant was placed in 1985.

In 1999 Dr. Wayland limited his practice to early third molar removal and dental implants. Over the past 30 years Dr. Wayland has removed more than 10,000 impacted third molars, placed hundreds of implants, and completed over 2000 IV Sedation procedures.
