Gloria Reyes, Office Manager
I joined Hercules Dental Care in July 2000 where I earned an extensive background in dentistry as the Office Manager. I have been a member of the Association of Dental Office Managers for 5 years. I have worked in the dental field for 19 years and have only worked in two dental practices. I enjoy working at Hercules Dental Care because the patients and the staff are like my second family. My daily goal is to ensure that the patients are happy with every aspect of their visit. I take great pride in patient care and continuing education for myself and the staff at Hercules Dental Care.

I have been a resident of Hercules since 1991. Right after High School I attended The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Interior Design. I worked for an Interior Design firm for about a year. In 1992 a dental office in Oakland where I was an appointment coordinator for 8 years hired me. This is where I earned my x-ray license and became a Dental Assistant. I focus in learning more about dentistry because I enjoy it and through the years I had great opportunities to expand my knowledge in dentistry.

I am married to my husband Fernando of 24 years and I have two wonderful children that are now in High School Natalie & Daniel. I also have two dogs Angel (Toy Poodle) & Diego (Pomeranian Mix). I am involved in my children's education and also hope that one day they become Dentists. I speak fluent Spanish, and when I am not working, I enjoy the outdoors, reading books, biking, cooking, walking, and most of all spending time with my family and friends.

Phuong Ly, Receptionist
I've worked in the dental industry for 10 years, 4 of which have been spent at HerculesDental Care. My role at Hercules Dental Care is to help patients with scheduling and billing amongst other duties. Working at Hercules Dental Care has been a great joy and with such a great team who shares the same compassion for the care our patients, which I’ve been able to contribute. Being a mother of two, I understand the difficulties of getting the family in for their routine checkups and those patients with special needs.

I'm fluent in Cantonese and understand Vietnamese. I love animals, having 3 dogs named Bobby, Champ, and Sofia. I enjoy reading, kungfu, and love fishing along the local trails in Hercules. Call me and let me set up an appointment for you!

Christina Castillo, Receptionist & DA
I have been with our team since 2006. I received my dental assisting certificate from Western Career College and graduated in July 2006. Asides from assisting Dr. Lin, I enjoy the front office aspect the most and utilize my skills in the practice. Annually, I look forward to attending the fall sessions with the California Dental Association (CDA) to better my dental skills and to best attend our patients needs. What I love most about the dental field and being apart of Hercules Dental is that the technology of procedures and advancement that doctors have created and implemented on the looks and replacements of our teeth is continually improving by the day. Working for Dr. Lin gives me great pride in the hard work he puts into his practice and his patients needs.

Outside from the office, I enjoy my free time is spent with my husband, Michael and his daughter, Gianna. As a family, we love watching movies, whether old or new, and playing board games. Asides from working, my pure addiction is cooking, as well as baking and crocheting.

Gabby Ramos, Receptionist
I earned my GED in CCUD Las Vegas NV in 2000 - moved to CA in 2001 and starting working as an office assistant - I came to HDC on Sept 2010 with very little Dental experience but lots of enthusiasm on learning everything I need for this new environment. My role at Hercules Dental Care is front desk, I enjoy helping patients scheduling their appointments, insurance questions, among other duties. It is very rewarding for me to see our patients leaving our office with a smile and looking forward for their next dental appointment.

I speak fluently Spanish. I love my family and my 2 dogs Leslie and Coco. I Love music, dancing, and learning new things. I always knew the importance of keeping a good dental care but ever since I started working in Hercules Dental Care I've learned that it requires more that just brushing, flossing and going to the dentist once or twice a year. It requires having a Dentist you can trust and count on in working with you on helping you keep a healthy beautiful smile that it will last a lifetime.

Hygienists:

Michelle Mangabat, RDH
I have lived in Hercules since 1988. I attended the University of California, Davis, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology in 1999. In my pursuit of a career in the dental field, I attended Diablo Valley College Dental Hygiene Program, obtaining a certificate in dental hygiene in 2005. As a registered dental hygienist, I have been employed at Hercules Dental Care since 2006. I enjoy working alongside my colleagues in a collaborative team environment and also providing optimal oral healthcare to all of her patients. I am a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the California Dental Hygiene Association.

In my spare time, I take care of my two rambunctious nieces, relish in therapeutic massages and enjoy taking walks outdoors. I used to actively be a part of the Academy of Hawaiian Arts in Oakland, dancing in various hula competitions including the olympics of hula known as Merrie Monarch. I love dining out and savoring the culinary delights the bay area has to offer. I also love to travel, exploring places such Bali, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines. In March 2011, I volunteered in a dental mission in the Philippines, serving underprivileged communities desperately needing dental attention. This was truly an amazing and rewarding experience for me and I hope to be involved in more dental missions in the future.

Sylvia DeMaso, RDH
Right out of high school, I received my RDA license. I continued my education at Diablo Valley College where I received a degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been practicing for Hercules Dental Care since 2004. My goal is to continue to grow professionally while providing quality care for all my patients.

I have been married to my husband Tony for 31 years. We have 2 grown children, Vincent and Veronica. Swimming, walking, fishing and gardening are the things I enjoy doing together with my husband.

As a registered dental hygienist, I completed my advanced education and training from an accredited dental hygiene program to administer local anesthetics, nitrous oxide sedation and prescribe dental hygiene medications. In addition, I attend continued education courses to keep myself up to date with dental advancements. My strong work ethic, attention to detail and enjoyment of providing quality service at Hercules Dental Care would prove valuable to all that chose this practice for their dental needs.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with those dearest to my heart, and all outdoor activities including gardening, running and camping. "I am blessed with a great life and love working at Hercules Dental Care!"

Lynn Kilcourse, RDH
I grew up in Concord and then moved to Antioch to raise my four children. Two boys and two girls. I began my education at Medanos College in Pittsburg with additional classes at Sacramento City College, and finished a degree in dental hygiene in 2001 at Diablo Valley College.

I enjoy music as a high level hobby and as a performing musician. I have taught private guitar lessons for 28 years and currently teaches one day a week at Gill Music in Brentwood. I enjoy gardening, cooking, my family, and my career in dental hygiene.

Registered Dental Assistants:

Sonia Malo, RDAEF (Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function)
In 2005I became a Registered Dental Assistant after taking a state board examination and I then furthered my education with the help of Dr. Douglas Lin DDS by taking the Extended Functions Course at UCSF School of Dentistry in 2008. Hercules Dental Care has been like a second home to me for the past 9 years. I couldn't ask for a better dentist or staff to work with. I love doing my job because not only to I get to help patients feel better about the there teeth. I as well get to know them and there family to make there experience in our office as comfortable as possible during there treatment.

Now for a little about myself I am married to my high school sweet heart Alan and we have three beautiful children together. Two girls named Avalina and Sienna. Then our newest addition Alan Jr. We live here in Hercules and we enjoy taking our kids to the parks, library and for walks along the trail. I'm bay area native that went to Pinole Valley High School. After high school I attended Bryman College in San Francisco in 2002 for dental assisting. Soon after completing the program at Bryman College I was hired at Hercules Dental Care in 2002.

Daniel Arriola, RDA
I graduated at Newark Memorial High School in Newark and went on to City College of San Francisco for 2 years for the Dental Tech program. I finished courses for dental assisting in Bryman College in San Francisco and my Registered Dental Assisting License in 2002. I started my career in the Dental Field in 2001, I have been with Dr. Lin and Hercules Dental Care for 9 years. I attend the CDA convention every year and enjoy the continuing education courses.

I have been married for 18yrs, to my lovely wife Michelle and have 7 children and 5 grandchildren. I'm very active in my church & love to play basketball.

Theresa Green, RDAI
Graduated from Hercules High School in 2005 and went on to Western Career College, where I received my degree in dental assisting in February 2006. I received my RDA license in November 2006. I am trained in infection control and CPR. Every year I attend the Dental convention and take courses to expand my knowledge of the dental field. I LOVE working in the dental field because I am able to help people feel better about themselves. My entire family are Bay Area natives.

I grew up here in Hercules. I am a very active person I love to be outdoors. During the winter I snowboard and during the summer you can always find me somewhere near or on the water. I love working at here because we are more than a team we are a family.

Mary Quijano, RDA
I earned my AS in Dental Assisting with Western Career College in 2006.I had my RDA License since then to present. I'm a member of American Dental Association and California Dental Association. I've been working in dental field for 5 yrs with great experience that I gained from respected Dentist and had advance technology.

I have lived in Bay Area for 7 yrs now and I'm a Giants fan. My family and I love to explore food industry for fun and get together. My hobbies include scrap booking, anything with arts and crafts, photography and hiking. My husband and I love to travel backpacking.

Priscilla Cunningham, RDA
I attended Western Career College 2005 and received my certificate of completion, RDA license, coronal polishing license, x-ray license and CPR certification. I continue my dental education annually with continuing education courses. Maintaining HIPPA requirements, infection control and CPR up to date. I have experience in general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. I have been a team member since December 2010. I furthered my knowledge in implants, orthodontics and the newest and latest techniques of dentistry while working for Hercules Dental Care. I enjoy working with all ages. Our team here at Hercules Dental Care are the most caring and friendliest team I have ever worked with. I am honored to work with such great people. Our team takes great pride in their work.

Dental Assistants:

Maria Torres, DA
I have been a dental assistant and trained by Dr. Chen since 2004. I have always been interested in the dental field. I'm eager and excited to be a dental assistant because I love to see people smile. I attended the University of Pacific, Dentistry in San Francisco in 2005 and obtained a certificate for x-ray license. I'm certified in infection control and also have CPR license.

When not working, I love spending time with my two lovely dogs and my son to make sure he has good grades.

Jocelyn Flores, DA
I'm a dental assistant, 21 years old, and speaks Spanish. I attended Carrington, CA and graduated in 2010. I enjoy working with people and always caring and concerned about others' health. I plan to be in the dental field until retirement. My goal is to become a registered dental hygienist and to make sure every patient has the cleanest smile.

My hobbies are spending time with my two beautiful daughters and working out at the gym.
